How to get involved!
There are lots of things you can do to help youth stay drug-free in your area.
The Drug-Free Marshals can provide you with the "Truth About Drugs" Activities Manual. This brilliant little publication shows you a number of things you can do right away, such as give out the drug education booklets, to help kids in your area. The manual even contains a CD-ROM with soft copies of the manuals right there ready for you to use or print off. It also provides:
- A script on giving drug education lectures if you want to do this;
- Ideas for essay and poster contests;
- How to get athletes and artists to sign a drug-free pledge;
- How to meet with your Mayor, City Councillors or Members of Provincial Parliament;
- Information on doing syringe clean-ups in nearby parks or even Drug-Free blood drives.
We are looking as well for people to start Drug-Free Marshals Clubs in their area. The Drug-Free Marshals have been going in Toronto since 1994. We would love to see more clubs and groups around the Toronto area and are more than willing to come to your area to help you.
